- Store and transport the sample at 2–8°C (refrigerated). Do not freeze whole blood samples.
- Avoid using heparin tubes, as heparin may interfere with DNA analysis.
- Ensure the sample is free from contamination, leakage, or hemolysis for optimal DNA extraction.
